Nestled within six acres of gardens and woodlands and overlooking the sea, the house and grounds at Battisborough provide the perfect space for a family holiday or group getaway.

​

Inside the house there is a large entrance hall, two living rooms, a large dining room, laundry room, and a fully equipped kitchen complete with Aga. Upstairs there are four ensuite family rooms, two ensuite double rooms, two twin rooms and three dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds and separate bathrooms. There is also an easy access ground floor bedroom with a double sofa bed.

Outside there is a large garden where you can relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful South West coastline and wildflower meadow. You’ll also find a playing field with football nets, woodland with a campfire area and a tennis/basketball court with the best view in South Devon! The store room is fully stocked with tennis rackets, footballs and you might even find a croquet set.

EXPLORING THE LOCAL AREA

Out and about in the local area you will find plenty of beaches to explore, and Dartmoor and Plymouth are both just a 20 minute drive away.

 

The house has private access to the South West coast path, which means you can walk to Mothecombe Beach or, if you fancy a challenge, walk to the local villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers.

​

The house is available on a self-catering basis, but we can offer full catering depending on your requirements. We can also recommend good local catering companies.

​

Next door to the house is a working dairy farm that makes ice cream using the milk from their herd of cows. The Surfing Cow Ice Cream Parlour is open during the summer months, so stop by for an ice cream with a view and explore their very special ‘Maize Maze’ that's open from July to September.

THE DETAILS

All bed linen and towels are provided.

 Changeover days are Fridays.

Battisborough House is available for week-long rental.

Ask about shorter breaks as we can sometimes offer long weekend rental in the quieter months.

Check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am.

The house has wifi and a telephone.

Dogs are welcome.
